Similar to how we organized it last year, we’re going to have an Awards Ceremony this year as well to announce the winners, but also showcase interesting entries, share experts’ feedback, win swag in a quiz, and much more.

It’s going to happen online next week, on Tuesday October 5th, starting at 6 PM CET (GMT+2) - make sure to join the event on Meetup! Our host for the evening will be Sascha Depold from eBay, and the session will be recorded to be published later on on our YouTube channel.

Roadroller tool was the big hit of this year’s js13kGames competition - it helped many developers squeeze in extra kilobytes into their entries. The author, Kang Seonghoon, agreed to write all about it.

The video recordings of the kick-off meetup that happened on Friday 13th and the online workshop from Monday 16th are already available to be watched on our brand new YouTube channel for whose who missed them or couldn’t attend.

The meetup revolved around introducing new things in this year’s competition, and sharing tips and tricks useful to build a game within the given size limitation.

The workshop, on the other hand, offered a learning experience of building an Asteroids clone using the Kontra.js micro-library.
